Seeds of Future

Through our work with youth, we realize that all the indoors, raising awareness efforts done are not enough. It is important to stretch beyond the education and awareness stages and guide youth to build a strong bond with the land, from which actions will get driven and sustainable change in their behaviour will happen.

The project brings forth the innovative concept of Eco-Awakening as introduced by Dr

Bill Plotkin. This concept empowers people to develop both personal and environmental

competences. It forges deeper connections with the land and feel utter belonging in the

web of life. Humans and other beings are in eternal interconnectedness and the embodied and emotional understanding of this bond, helps individuals to cultivate respect, care and environmental stewardship.

By implementing our project, we are intending to grow the young “seeds of the future” and empower youth field to work towards the ongoing green transformation. Our project included a variety of activities such as organizational mentoring, training course for youth workers, local events for youth, creation of videos and webinars.

• Dive into the video series “Eco-awakening: loving and acting for the Earth”.

  This is a compilation of short, inspiring & youth-friendly videos that explains the methodologies and skills we have been using so long for the entire duration of the project. It is a place for young people to receive inspiration and a guide for youth workers to follow and apply its content. The videos are developed in a series and each video has a different content, but continues to the previous ones, with all of them concluding everything together.

• Watch the webinars “Returning to Earth - Pathways to Ecological Awakening”.

  This trilogy of webinars explores the deeper layers of our connection with Earth and showcases how we can revitalize our bond with Earth in the most intimate way. In these webinars we share a minimum of 35 innovative practices and aim to inspire youth and youth workers. These are the topics of each webinar:
